Numistral provides public access to digitised documents from the Alsatian universities’ and their partners’ library collections. Access to and use of these documents are provided for free, with the exception of copyrighted documents for which access is only possible on the premises of the institutions providing them.
Numistral is also the platform through which scientific projects using these collections are showcased. Is your project missing? Don’t hesitate to contact us directly, and we will ensure its renewed visibilty!
We offer access to specialised resources and shared skills to support research projects based on our collections for academic institutions and their departments. The National & Academic Library (BNU), the University of Strasbourg’s libraries and IT departments, the University of Upper Alsace libraries, as well as the Alsace Inter-University House for the Social Sciences and Humanities (MISHA) all work together to provide individual researchers and teams a wide range of services.
These services include: creating and managing digital corpuses, drafting data management plans, creating descriptive data, OCR or metadata processing, creating custom databases & management tools for each project or subject, assisting with project funding applications, and digital data conservation.
If you need a specific document digitised for your project, don’t hesitate to contact the institution who owns it! Do you have a scientific project involving the digitisation of multiple documents? Don’t hesitate to contact us!
